I'm looking for a solution to maximize the power output from PoE input (~57V / 90W) to 48V/~71-90W at the highest efficiency possible (94% ideally). I have reviewed this thread:
Question about LT3752 & LT8311 which recommends the LT3753 + LT1431. There's also the LT8310 + LT8311 which is hardly mentioned anywhere and the LT8310 + LT1431 which tops out at about 92% efficiency, which is very close to my 94% target. One issue with this is that the LT8310 is extremely hard to find right now.
I've looked at no-opto solutions, including the MAX17690 + MAX17606 from Maxim Integrated, and while the efficiencies seem high, I'm not sure it can deliver 2A @ 48V. There's this no-opto reference design that will output ~60W, which is good, and the efficiency report looks decent at about 91%, but what would I need to do to increase the power output to 90W or is that even possible with this chip? Choosing a no-opto MAX17690 with no secondary side also is much easier and cheaper to design and manufacture.
Any guidance as to the best solution would be much appreciated!
