Hello:
Hoping there's a product expert here that can answer my question. I will be using this device in two inductor mode.
While the ability to have about 1A of charge current is good, I also would like to have the ability to get current down to around 25mA. I see that it's possible using one inductor according to a note at the bottom of the diagram on page 13 (*25mA minimum...) unless I do not understand.
Page 10 of the device data sheet provides a formula for charge current for two inductor mode. At this point, it's a bit confusing. The formula doesn't reveal what the minimum is, just what the charge current is based on the buck current multiplied by some numbers and constants.
If I look at the graph on page 4, bottom right, it looks as though even with Rprog of 500K, (buck) current is still 250mA, with charge current being somewhat less according to the formula.
In short - what is the minimum current that can be programmed in buck and boost modes?
Thanks.
