Performance of LTC3588


Question regarding LTC3588 performance. For testing is used demo circuit 1459B, Vout voltage is set to 3.6V.

Supercap (3.8V, 100F) connected as load to Vout.

Piezo system connected to PZ contacts(approx. 6mW AC).

During the testing is was noticed, that average power harvested to supercap is aprox. 250-280uW in normal operation mode, without any modifications.

However, if we connect resistor(2-4k) in series to supercap, and connect supercap after IC startup, the energy collected to supercap is from 400 to 1200uW, depends on vibration.

My question, is there any solution how to deal with these 2 operating "modes"?
