Hi,
I'd like to run 8, preferably 10 white LED's (3Vf max/LED) using a AA battery. The design criteria is for the LED's to be driven at 5mA for a total power of 30V * 5mA = 150mW. Assuming the part is 65% efficient, the input power would be 203mW and using a AA battery at 1.2V, the current would be 169mA. I only need 1 hour of operation so the capacity of the battery will be quite sufficient but I'm concerned running the device at 1.2V even though the datasheet specs minimum input voltage of 1V. Can I run this at 1.2V and is there a model available for me to simulate using LTSpice?
