Hey everyone,
i got some problems with simulation the LTC3784:
Below 50% Dutycycle, the well known subharmonic oscillations for the current mode controller do occur in LTSpice, it seems they do not in PowerCAD.
Anyway, the datasheet only mentions something like subharmonics or a slope comp only at a single point, which is the block diagram on page 10.
It seems, the slope comp is not implemented or active in the LTSpice model, but should be in reality?
For example, the LTSpice-Reference Design already shows a slight tendency if 5V supply is used, using DCR-Sensing instead of Shunt, the behaviour is much exerbated.
The simulation seen below is the implemented boost converter, a phase reserve of ~60° and an amplitude reserve of >10@180° is calculated.
Anyone got some tips or hints here? DCR-Sensing is a must in the application due to board size restrictions.
Thanks alot,
best regards,
Lukas
