What is the purpose of the 49.9 ohm resistor on the SFB pin of the ADN8833 evaluation board? It is not in the datasheet but only in the evaluation board.

I notice that the evaluation board for the ADN8833 has a 49.9 ohm resistor in series on the SFB pin. It is not used in the application circuit in the ADN8833 datasheet. I can't see any description of the purpose of this resistor, and I was wondering what its purpose is.

Hi Cookeway,

The ~50ohm resistor in the evaluation board is placed to give you provision for loop stability testing. The SFB pin is high impedance so it doesn't have an impact even if you short it.
