LTC3862

Question

Hello, 
 
 I need to make a boost from 8V to 180V at 200mA using the LTC3862 but I cant find the right values. I saw the datasheet and I think I got all the values right. I'm using LTspice to simulate this circuit , can someone give it a look and see if I'm missing something ( image and project attach to this message) ?

Hi Luis, 
 To get such high step-up ratio, you may need to run the circuit in discontinuous conduction mode. To do that, the switching frequency will have to be low and inductor value will have to be low so that on each cycle the current falls down to 0A before the next cycle starts. The circuit will experience high peak currents and high voltages at the same time so it may not work well. 
 As I look around, LT3757 should be a good candidate with using a transformer to achieve very high step-up ratio. Please take a look at page 32 of datasheet: www.analog.com/.../lt3757-3757a.pdf)
