Hi, Could you guide me how to read ADM1066 register FSTAT1 and 2 (0xE0, 0xE1) thru SMBus?
If you have our USB to I2C dongle USB-SMBUS-CABLEZ, and using our GUI evaluation software, then you can access RAM registeres with GUI, see below:
if you are using your own hardware/software, then you can use send byte and receive byte combination to read RAM registers.
see page 28 and 32 for details on send and receive byte.
you bascially use send byte to set the register addresss you want to read, and use receive byte to read the content of that register.
so send byte E0h, and what you get after receive byte would be the content of FSTAT1.
don't forget that you need to enable the fault register wirte in the corrisponding sequencing state in order for that state to be able to record the fault in FSTAT. see FAULT/STATUS REPORTING section on page 31 of AN-698 for details.
