Looking at the block diagram of the LTC4365 datasheet (page 8), the Fault output is an Open Drain N-MOS. How can it be activated when the IC is out of UV range or totally turned off?

The function is available as long as the LTC4365 has enough voltage level at its VIN pin(>2.5V). Under this condition the part can actively drive the FET inside and pull low if necessary
Vin below (configured) UV threshold will not stop the IC from working, as long as VIN is above 2.5V.

Thank you Markus. Indeed this clarify my doubt because I wanted to use the FAULT signal in order to shutdown other devices when LTC4365 is off (not power on its rails). Therefore I have to find other alternatives to do it.
