I recently got an ADP1048 Evaluation board (600W PFC), I installed the driver, connected the board, the GUI recognized it and communicated fine.
When I started applying the input AC voltage (using a Variac) the fuse blew, this was done with no load connected on the DC bus.
After replacing the fuse, the board will no longer communicate with the PC, the power components seem to be still intact (the all measure diode drops where expected), the ADP1048 is getting 3.3V at its VCC pin...
Any ideas for why this might have happend?
Any help would be greatly appreciated,
The USB to I2C adapter may be locked up, which caused the loss of the communication. You can try to disconnect the USB to I2C adapter from the computer and connect it again, then start the GUI to see if the communication is working.
I've tried reconnecting the USB, changing the com ports, disconnecting the daughter board and putting it back.
Nothing works, after it blew the fuse it does not work...
you need do isolation when you power on. normal PC can not be used, only laptop with battery connected is OK.
