LTC3612 Run pin input impedance (current draw)

I would like to turn ON/OFF the LTC3612 for testing purposes, so connecting the RUN pin directly to the input supply is not desired. Instead, I would like to use a pull-up resistor between the RUN pin and the input supply for normal operation, then connect the RUN pin to GND to turn it off.

To properly size the pull-up resistor, I need to know the current draw or input impedance of the RUN pin. The voltage specs are in the datasheet, but not input impedance.

Thanks,

  • Hi Gahelton,

The fact that RUN pin can be tied to VIN which is up to 5.5V means RUN should be high impedance pin. We don't have RUN pin current data though. One consideration of resistor should be to size/rating to carry power dissipation when it is pulled to ground. With 5.5VIN, 10K 0805 resistor should do.
