Efficiency of ADP1607 at 32 uA

Hello, 
 My name is Meir and I am a DFAE in ADI team at Phoenix Technologies Israel. 
 Meprolight, one of our customers, is interested in ADP1607 for battery powered application. 
 Their Input voltage range is: 0.8V-3.3V 
 Output: 2.5V and 3.3V (depending on operational mode) 
 Load Current: 32uA-10mA/20mA 
 Important for them to achieve higher efficiensy at following currents: 32uA, 10mA and 20mA. 
 From Figures 3, 4 and 5 we can't see this parameter. 
 Please advise what will be a efficiency at above listed currents?

Hi Meir, 
 The graphs provided are for a part that is Auto mode. Auto means that the part will automatically transition between PFM at light loads and PWM at heavy loads to maintain the highest possible efficiency. At the low currents in your application, the part will be in PFM mode. 
 In the Specifications table for the ADP1607 it lists the VIN range as 0.8V to VOUT. This means that VIN can never be greater than VOUT. The ADP1607 does not have a pass through mode and the architecture does not support situations where VIN > VOUT. 
 The ADP1607 is the only part that works down to VIN=0.8V and we don't have anything that would be a better fit in the pipeline. The ADP1607 would be a good fit for the VOUT = 3.3V portion of your application. To use the ADP1607 in the VOUT = 2.5V portion of your application, you would have to reduce the maximum input voltage to 2.5V through diodes or a cascode FET. This would cause additional power loss and decrease the efficiency.
