[LT8612] Question about EN/UV

To whom may it concern, 

I'm HS.

According to the datasheet of LT8612, the device will be ON when EN/UV is applied with HIGH and shutdwon when it's connected to GND.

But the datasheet doesn't explain how LT8612 will work when this EN/UV Pin is floating.

This pin might be floating In my application. So i would appreciate if you explain this pin can be floating and how it will work when it's floating.

If this pin must needs pull-up/down, please recommend me the proper value of resistor.

    Hi, 

    Normally, EN/UV pin have internal pull up or pull down depending on the part that you are using. However, this is not shown on the datasheet which means that it is not recommended to leave this pin floating. I tried to simulate it on LTSpice using the test jig example for LT8612 and the result shows that floating EN/UV pin leads to a shutdown output. If the shutdown feature is not needed on your application, you can just tie EN/UV to Vin. Kindly refer on page 8 of the datasheet regarding the description of this pin. Thank you.
