Hello.
I use two LTC4162-L.
Can two LTC4162-Ls use the same I2C line?
In other words, I want to connect two LTC4162-L to I2C of MCU.
Please check quickly.
Thanks.

Hi,
I looked into the datasheet of LTC4162-L. It indicated a specific I2C address, which I think you can't modify. You may need additional bus switches to multiplex the I2C line of devices with common addresses. Thank you.

Hi Gonzales.
Can you explain in detail?
Please tell me which part of the datasheet should be checked.
Thanks.
Leo
Hi Leo,
The I2C address is given in the spec table on page 6. The LTC4162 has a single, unchangeable I2C address which should be assumed for any chip unless otherwise specified, so there's not a specific section to point you to.
As a general solution to using multiple chips with the same address on the same bus, you should use a I2C multiplexer as Fritz suggested. LTC4305 is one such example to start with.

Zack
Hi Zack,
I understood your answer.
Thanks for the quick reply.
Thanks.
