LTC3630A - STARTUP after undervoltage

Hi,

I use LTC3630A.

When i apply undervoltage for 150mS and less, sometimes the output recovers after 640mS.

I see that it happens when the soft start voltage is not pulled down to zero (as a result to the undervoltage event).

the soft start pin is floating (there is not capacitor that connected to this pin).

How can i solve it, so the converter output will rise after the undervoltage is 'gone' (after Vin voltage is in its normal levels)?

Thanks,

Arkadi

  • Hi Arkadi,

May I know how did you implement the UV event? The SS pin should be pulled down to zero as soon as undervoltage takes place. Can you please share your schematic diagram?

You can utilize the RUN pin to set a precise UVLO level. (Refer p.15 to 16)
