LTC4079 for NiMH

LTC4079 is a generic battery charger. It can work with NiMH, but you should be aware that there is no nickel fast-charge termination. As a result, you might set the charge current lower with this part for safety reasons.

The charge current to use will depend on your battery, but Table 3 in this article gives a pretty good description of what you might consider fast-charging:

  Thank you for your quick reply.

  Our customer will try slow charge due to avoid auto recharge by negative delta voltage.   

  Could you tell me the  minimum charge current of NiMH(1100mAh)?

There is no minimum charge current. A lower charge current will just take longer to fully charge the battery.

You might also consider LTC4011 which does support fast charging termination and is specifically intended for nickel batteries.

  I know LTC4011. But our customer requests functional temperature range is -20 to 60 degree.

  Does LTC4011 have -20 degree option?

No, LTC4011 does not operate down to -20degC. Instead, you might take a look at LTC4060:

   LTC4060 applies up to 4 cell.

  LTC4060 does not sppliy to our customer.
