How does ADM693 shift the watchdog-timeout to?

Dear Sir/Madam,

As for your ADM693, our customer asked the following question to us.

I could not catch the answer on your datasheet.

So please let me know your comment.

The watchdog timeout period is showed min 1sec to max 2.25sec when VCC = 5V, TA = +25C.

Q-1

If VCC is shifted to 4.5V or 5.5V, then how should we think this value shifting?

eg; when 4.5V, shift min 0.9sec to max 2.15sec ? Otherwise same value?

Q-2

If TA is shifted to 0 to 70C, then how should we thinkthis value shifting?

eg; when around temp=0C, shift min 0.9sec to max 2.15sec ? Otherwise same value?

Please let me know the trend when the above conditions.

My expected reply as following chart if you have.

Thanks Kaos

  • Hi Kaos,

    I'm sorry to hear that.

as much as I would like to but we just don't have enough bandwidth to carry out this test.

the typical watchdog timeout vs. Vcc relationship should be easily measurable on the bench by your customer, which should give them an reasonable idea.

for us to be able to guarantee it, we will need more complex measurement setup for a decent volume of samples.

the ADM8696 is an enhanced version of the ADM696, it was released after ADM696 and have better characterization data.
