There is a NTC input function for LTC4050, but LTC1732 and LTC4050 are similar parts.
I find the difference in the description of the TIMER pin.
When the TIMER pin pull up to VCC in LTC1732, the CV Mode is disabled, but there is no description in LTC4050.
Is it only connected to the TIMER pin to GND to disable the CV Mode in LTC4050?
To be clear, it does not disable CV mode. It disables timer termination. But, yes, for LTC4050 you must disable it by connecting the TIMER pin to GND.
It is worded in a confusing way - "disable" is the wrong word. It terminates CV mode once the timer expires, but there will still be a CV stage.
Thank you for your information.
Would you confirmation my undarstanding?
According to the TIMER pin description of the datasheet Page5,
"TIMER (Pin 4): Timer Capacitor and Constant-Voltage Mode Disable Input Pin."
Is CV mode enabled and only the timer function disabled when the TIMER pin is connected to GND?
