Hi all, I am using LTC7001 with N channel mosfet. While everything is okey, The LTC7001 sometimes does not work and probobly it breaks.I change the LTC7001 with new one but after a while it that is changed breaks.I searched that why it does not work but I couldnt find a reason. I think that it breaks because of high noise voltage signal but I dont know because of this reason. In my working zone has noise voltage that is between 1 and 3 volt.Does this noise voltage cause like this breaking ? if I give noise voltage to ground line of LTC7001, will it break ? do anyone have an idea or know about this subject ?
thanks,
Bulent

Hi, Thank you for reply. I use 0.1u F ceramic bypass capacitor at the VCC pin to GND.I have a Schottky diode at the TS pin and I used extra bidrictional schottky diode at the VCC line and ground line and I used ferried bead at the ground line but altough I used this protections, the ltc7001 still breaks, I cant understand why I see this stiuation.I measured the noise voltage and I saw AC voltage 50 HZ, 300 Vpp. How can I protect the LTC7001 from noise voltage ? Do you know special technic for this IC.
thank,
Could you share the design schematic and specification such as input voltage range and load current? Do you see same noise voltage at the high side? If so, this could be a common mode noise. Did you mean 300mVp-p?
Hi, my input voltage is between 12 Volt and 18 volt. Load current is maximum 1 Amper. I didnt measure voltage at the high side.I mean 300 Vp-p at the ground line.
thanks
When you measured the ground line, what is it respect to? Could you measure the differential voltage across the drain of the high side MOSFET and GND with the scope probe? Max voltage must be less than 150V. Could you measure the voltage across BST pin and TS pin with the digital multimeter? Does your VCC supply can float along with the ground line?
Thank you, I measured all pins and lines of LTC7001 and all measures has datasheet's values.
