Hi,
if LTC4279 RPM is in a abnormal state.
Like Open/Short/Out of window.
What will happen?
If the fuse is necessary for the safety certificate?
Thanks a lot.
Please kindly help with this.

Set the PSE to the system required power mode by selecting a 1% resistor with a value specified for RPM in Table 1 of the LTC4279 datasheet. Setting the LTC4279 PWRMODE pin to open, short or a value different from the table is not recommended for normal operation; the LTC4279 after reset will default to the closest power mode in Table 1 if this is done.
A fuse is not required for IEEE 802.3af/at compliance. However, it may required in the application to meet the applications safety requirements.
