ADM7154 Dropout voltage

Hello

What will be the maximum dropout voltage with these parameters:

Vin=2.3V

Vout=1.8V

Iout=300mA

Thanks

    Hi Alon,

    The dropout voltage does not apply to VOUT voltages less than 2.3V’s.

    At the bottom of the spec table, there is note 3 saying " Dropout voltage is defined as the input-to-output voltage differential when the input voltage is set to the nominal output voltage. Dropout applies only for output voltages above 2.3 V."

    For part operating in dropout, VIN needs to be set to close to VOUT, a voltage below the UVLO threshold for VOUT voltages less than 2.3V’s,  which results in disableing the part.

    Best regards,

    Hong

    Hi Alon,

    You could also refer to the PSRR in the spec table for performance estimation. The PSRR @ Iout=300mA should be slightly better.
