I am finding a difference in performance between the LT3203EDD-1 and LTC3203EDD-1#PBF. Both ICs are used to drive two LCDs with LED back-lights. A pulse of 420Hz is given to the SHDN pin and the pulse width is varied to control the brightness of the LED-backlight. The other circuit is similar to the typical application circuit shown in the datasheet.
With very low pulse-widths (~120us), the LTC3203EDD-1#PBF is giving lower brightness compared to the LT3203EDD-1. This is confirmed by replacing the ICs on the same PCB.
Can it be a batch problem? Or the two variants really different.
