LTC3203EDD-1

Question

Hello, 
 I am Bharat. I am trying to drive two LCDs with LED backlights with a LTC3203EDD-1 IC. The SHDN pin is given a pulse of 420HZ frequency and the pulse width is varied to control the backlight brightness. However during the LTSpice simulations, I am not able to reduce the pulse width below 150us.

Hi Bharat, I do not believe the LTC3203 was designed to use the SHDN pin for PWMing the LEDs. It does not hurt anything but there is time to go into and out of shutdown plus the LTC3203 does have a soft-start to limit the inrush current. This all can limit the PWM off and on times.)
