We have a design where we receive +5V supply from a PC power supply. We need to regulate this supply to provide a very clean +5V to our ADC \ DAC front end. We expect the absolute maximum current draw will be 50mA.
We have very little room so we are looking for, lets say, a LDO or something similar that can provide us we the cleanest possible +5V in the smallest possible PCB area. Possibly we should take a device that has a spec of 70-80 mA just for headroom but if there is a difference in solution area we could go down to 50mA ? Can you help us ?

Thanks for your reply. At the moment we are looking for a Buck-Boost solution as I don't think we will have enough room for a Buck and then a LDO ! So far the best I have found is a MAX77827 ! Do you have anything better than this ? I only need a Max of Iout = 100mA or even (if it will give me a smaller PCB area solution) down to 50mA ! I need the smallest output ripple voltage that is possible !

Do you have a LTC3531 but in a fixed 5V output version ? We currently our using an ADP2504 for one of our other projects but we are looking for a smaller solution (also out output current needs are much less for this project)
I am currently looking at a MAX77827 which so far has given me the smallest solution. We don't really want to go below 0.5 pitch so we are currently considering the FC2QFN package. If this doesn't fit we might go down to the 12-Bump WLP package ! NOTE: our Max current output is 100mA and we would like the lowest Voltage output ripple as possible !
Do you have anything that can match this ?
About LTC3531, not that I'm aware about 5V fixed version.
About the solution size, I would think it is best that you connect to a local ADI FAE who are more knowledgeable than me in proving the best solution. If you can send me message about project, estimate annual usage, I would be glad to connect you to one.
