ltc4267 PoE - Current limit

Hi all,

We have designed a board with LTC4267 POE PD controller as per the reference design https://www.analog.com/media/en/reference-design-documentation/design-notes/dn361f.pdf

However we want to limit the current to 200mA, as our device does not consume more than 200mA. We planned to achieve better ripple performance by doing so. 
Kindly let us know the changes that needs to be implemented for the samel

    Do you mean you want to build a LTC4267 PD that only supplies 5V / 200mA or that it only draws 200mA from the cable? Are you using the battery charger or just the LTC4267?

    You can increase the sense resistor value to limit the amount of delivered power to the secondary-side, and you can use a higher primary inductance transformer or perhaps a smaller transformer with the same characteristics.

    Thanks for the info.

    Actually I want to build a LTC4267 PD that only supplies 5V @ 200mA.
    But there is no formula given in the datasheet  to calculate the sense resistor value.
    Do you know any other method to calculate the Rsense??
