I have a +5V to -15.5V inverter based on the ADP5073. Design based on the Design Tool. I used an output current of 100mA and the tool indicated ADP5073. Though the effective current on steady state is only around 20mA, the startup current is high due to high capacitances and the inverter's overload protection enters a few times until eventually it stabilizes. I want to change the inverter to ADP5074.
From the data sheets I understood they are drop-in replacement of each other as far as package and pinout is concerned. Am I right. Is there any issue with replacing ADP5073 with ADP5074?
I don't see any issue of replacing ADP5073 with ADP5074. You are correct, they are same package. Different is the current capability and 1K pricing in web.
If issue is output capacitance inrush…
