According to datasheet P.14 OVP section,
If the feedback voltage increases to 0.7 V, the internal high-side and low-side MOSFETs are turned off until the voltage at the FB pin decreases to 0.63 V.
At that time, the ADP2386 resumes normal operation.
What is the protection time perid?
Is there any limit on the period?
And what's the working mode between different load?
Fixed peak current mode, burst mode or others? except frequency foldback.

When the OVP happens, the high side switch would turn off and the low side switch would turn on to discharge the output voltage. It would continue to be on until FB goes to 0.63V or hit the low side negative current limit. It's not related to the load and control mode. Actually ADP2386 only has FPWM mode.
