Question

Does the SYNC pin Phase Locked Loop synchronize to an edge? Does duty cycle of the SYNC signal affect the duty cycle of the converter?

Hi, 
 Yes, SYNC pin will synchronize to an edge. You may check this using LTspice. 
 Duty cycle of the converter will depend on input and output voltages as per equation on page 15 of datasheet.
