I would like to design a bidirectional switch allowing current to flow in both directions, like a relay. I want the solution to control MOSFET's power dissipation in order to stay in their SOA. The voltage will be 15V min, 55V nominal, 60V max and the continuous current 15A. Load capacitance at startup around 100µF.I was thinking about using 2x back-to-back LTC7000-1, I tried to simulate it quickly (picture of the schematic is attached), but it doesn't work as the second MOSFET (near to the load) never switch ON, the body-diode is conducting the whole time.
Is there any way to make it work or do you advice me another configuration/component?
The second MOSFET near the load is never switching ON because boost capacitor value (C6) is too small. This capacitor has to charge C5 and gate to source capacitor of the MOSFET (M2). I would suggest increasing C6 value to 0.33uF and increase the delay at the input signal to 200ms. See diagram below.
