we used the ADP505x Buck Regulator Design Tool as starting point for our ADP5054 regulator design. We have built prototypes and found that one of the prototypes had roughly double the amount of output voltage ripple when compared the other prototypes.
We found removing the equalivalent of Cf11 design tool from PCB reduced the output ripple, but this also higlighted that this capaictor is not mentioned in device datasheet and we just fitted the value generated from design tool.
So we would like to know what is purpose of this capacitor and do you recommend including in ADP5054 designs?
Cf11 is the feed forward cap used to enhance the transient performance. Usually, it is not a must in normal design. You can remove it. Same with Cf12.
