I would like to use LTC3777 controller with a bridge rectifier for a 5VAC to 150 VAC input and output of 14VDC/8A. Please confirm on the use of the part LTC3777 for this else, please suggest a part or design note for this purpose.
Can I use LTC3779 as well?

Search the LTC3777 or LTC3779 through the LTpowerCAD "supply design" and input your desired parameters. The software will suggest a design that is feasible and will also notify you if it's not. Kindly see below image for a sample.

Can I use a zener of 140V at the Vin terminal to take the input voltage up to 212V.
Actually my maximum input is 150VAC and full wave rectifier is converting it to DC. So the regulator will show a maximum of 212VDC (150*Sqrt(2)) at input terminal.
Please confirm on the working with the use of Zener.

It is observed that, when I am giving supply from a full bridge rectifier with high value capacitor at output, the LT8316 is giving Zero voltage output. But when supplying from a voltage source , it is working. I am doing this simulation in LTspice. Any idea?
I'm not an expert of this part but if there is high value capacitor at the output, it is possible that converters hits current limit during start-up due to inrush. If you intend to use LT8316 & needs support, I recommend that you create separate EZ thread using the product in the title line so the apps engineers can help you further.
Note that you want to do high voltage input supply and it is dangerous. It should be done with someone who has experience.
