Hi everyone,
I'm designing a boost dc/dc converter from 12 V to 48 V 5 Ampere
I'm thinking of using a LT1680, would I protect the exit from the short circuit, kindly any suggestions?
Thanks in advance

This evaluation board generates 48Vout from 12Vin.

Boost topology cannot provide short circuit protection. If short circuit protection is a must, check out LT8390, a 4-Switch Buck-Boost controller.

Hi W.G.
Many Thanks for the suggestion,
I think that for my project I will use LT8390,
I downloaded the simulation file LT8390_DC2431A of evaluation board from from site and I modified the feedback resistor and current sense resistor value to obtain 48V max 5A, also I changed the mosfets with 2 millohms 60 V VDS models, but maybe I can leave in input models with 1 milliohms and 25V on VDS?
Any other suggestions?
I attach the simulation schematic
