The data sheet recommends connecting unused TSENSEn pins to GND.
However, the temperature sense inputs (TSENSEn) may be left floating.
In this case, the temperature reported on floating TSENSEn inputs will be the internal die temperature.
Are there any problem with leaving unused TSENSEn pins floating?
We recommend tying unused TSENSE pins to GND. But if you float or ground a TSENSE pin, the device will automatically detect that it is outside the valid range and revert the temperature reading on that channel to the internal die temperature (READ_TEMPERATURE_2). If you leave the pin floating, you might find unexpected temperature readings due to board leakage/contamination that causes the pin to float within the valid range. This is the reason for our recommendation to GND unused TSENSE pins.
I hope this helps.
Thank you for the quick answer.
