Hello Elcielo,
1) Yes, LTC3886 can be configured to operate as 4 phase single output using 2 of LTC3886 ICs.
The following pinouts of 2x LTC3886s need to be tied together in a 4 phase single output design:
VIN, VOUT, [VSENSE0+, VSENSE1], VSENSE0-, ITH, ITHR, RUN, SHARE_CLK, SYNC, PGOOD, FAULTB, ALERTB
LTpowerCad and LTspice model of the part should be used to assist you with the design and is available for download at the below web link:
https://www.analog.com/en/products/ltc3886.html#product-overview
2) There is also an alternate lower cost option to design a 4 phase single output using 1x LTC3886 (master) and 1x LTC3870 (slave)
Please refer to LTC3886's datasheet, page 118 for a typical reference design using 1x LTC3886 and 1x LTC3870.
An evaluation demo board (DC2155A-B: LTC3886/LTC3870 4 Phase Single Output) is also available at:
3) Layout of the demo board DC2155A-B can be used as the reference for your PCB layout
If you have other questions or need a detailed schematic and layout review of your design, please contact our FAEs.
Thanks,
Best Regards,
Gina.
