LT1763 ??


Looking at LT1763, if was not sure about few items eventually missing in the datasheet.

Maybe you can clarify that or append to the existing datasheet.

1) What is the power dissipation [mW] ?   

After a longer time, finally I found in the very small print the thermal resistance. Why do you hide the thermal resistance in 50 mils fonts?

2) What is the difference between these two products, in the ordering listing?

There is missing note what the suffix means, or the note is not visible.

Isn't it easier to make it clear and transparent for good?   Texas Instruments was in the same mess, before we implemented the corrective action link.

    1) We gave the detailed information about the thermal resistance on page 16 and page 17 in the datasheet.

    2) Note 2 on page 2 in the datasheet gives the definition of C-grade and I-grade.

    Note 2: The LT1763 regulators are tested and specified under pulse load conditions such that TJ @ TA. The LT1763 (C grade) is 100% tested at TA = 25°C; performance at –40°C and 125°C is assured by design, characterization and correlation with statistical process controls. The LT1763 (I grade) is guaranteed over the full –40°C to 125°C operating junction temperature range. The LT1763 (MP grade) is 100% tested and guaranteed over the –55°C to 125°C operating junction temperature range.
