About Using DC2100B-C

I would like to use DC2100B-C(LTC6804-2/LTC3330-1).

So, I have a question. Please help me.

I am doing experiments while watching the data sheet.
When connecting a low impedance cell stack, the device may be damaged unless precharging is done (data sheet p. 5).

Although the battery to be evaluated is low impedance this time, the voltage is as low as 2.4 V,
Is it necessary to precharge even in this case?

It is a question about connection before evaluation.

We will conduct experiments using batteries, PCs and evaluation boards,
Are there any restrictions on the connection order?
(For example, connect the PC and evaluation board before connecting the battery)

Best Regards,

If you are using power supplies for demonstration purposes, it is OK to connect without precharge.

If you are connecting directly to lithium-based cells, I recommend using precharge even if the voltage is 2.4V.

When you connect the cells to the DC2100B you should start with V-, then C1, C2,... C12.  The BOT6_TS and TOP6_TS can be connected at any time.

It does not matter whether you connect the PC/USB first or the battery first.
