LT8580 Frequency Foldback

Question

I need a boost converter (200mA @ 19V) that needs to be synchronized to an external 1.25MHz clock. This part does support synchronization, but does the Sync feature disable the Frequency Foldback? Or does Foldback still occur under light loads. I need 1.25MHz regardless of load.

 The LT8580 is a fixed frequency part, and will not fold the frequency back as the load current drops. That is so whether the frequency is set by the Rt resistor or by an external clock.

If this part uses the same control circuit as the LT8580, or LT3580, I would expect the same behavior.
