LTC4020 Unstable Operation

I want to charge 6S 27Ah LIPO battery pack.

The charge current is 15A. Input voltage is 12V and output voltage is 25.2V.

I am using the same compensation values for ITH and VC with DC2134A eval board.

The thing is, when the battery voltage is low there is no problem i can charge the battery with 15A.

But when the voltage reaches 25.1V charge current became un stable and ripples occuring at the charge current.

So i change the compensation values the circuit works at 25.1 battery voltage but at this compensation values can not work at 22V battery voltage.

I attached the schematics. Hope you can help me.

  • Hi Daniel,

    I stumbled across this post from HGUNEY.  Please confirm, :  you saying that for both the Lmin for Step Down and also Step Up  that the Imax terms should be removed from the formula ?  Also just curious,  are there  any other typos that exist in the data sheet that you know of ?  Last update appears to be 04/16.
