The MAX14690 and the MAX14745 are very close devices. The main difference is an improved buck architecture in the MAX14745 to improve EMI performance. It has additional features to control the noise spectrum by employing a PWM approach as compared to a burst mode approach in the MAX14690. This additional feature is evident as optional fixed peak-current mode to optimize the ripple frequency in noise-sensitive applications. The MAX14745 buck regulators can also support dynamic voltage scaling to further improve system power consumption.
