MAX17205, MAX17215, MAX17261, and MAX17263 are all suitable for high capacity, multi-cell lithium-ion battery pack applications. MAX17263 is recommended if there is a need for LED drivers. MAX17205 and MAX17215 are similar except that MAX17205 communicates via I2C interface whereas MAX17215 communicates via 1-wire. They are recommended if there is a need for SHA-256 authentication (e.g for battery authentication).
