When DS2711 enters Topoff CHG mode, there seems to be no way to exit except overtemperature or overvoltage condition, which means once it enters the mode, it needs to go through fast charge setting time/2. Can this be skipped for a fully charged battery?

The charging process of DS2711 is realized according to the behavior of the NiMH battery. NiMH battery is resistant to overcharging, but has high self-discharge rate. After completing fast charge, DS2711 will continue to charge the battery with a lower current, which is the top-off process. After this, it enters the maintenance mode, and will continue to charge the battery until the battery is removed. Therefore, top off process cannot be skipped.
