The DS278X has a highly accurate 16-bit current measurement with 1.5625µV of resolution and automatic Current Offset Correction, except the DS2786 which has 12-bits of current resolution. It also contains User-programmable Current Gain Correction and Sense-Resistor Temperature Compensation allowing for a high level of accuracy. The DS2780/2/4 has a resolution of 6.25mV/LSb, the DS2786 is capable of an accuracy of 1.22mV/LSb. The gain error and the current offset can affect the accuracy so check the datasheet of the device to be used to estimate the accuracy.
