Why is the MAX1873 battery current not regulating properly?
The MAX1873EVKIT has 0.1µF capacitors on CSB and BATT right next to the MAX1873. These are not shown in the typical application circuit but are needed to keep noise low at the sense pins and make the current regulation work correctly
