Hi Team,
We are exploring a fuel gauge solution to be used in our system to monitor the capacity for LiMnO2 Battery Pack with 2S4P configuration (which makes up 6V with 6000 mAh capacity).
During our exploration, we came across MAX17205 and would like to understand how will the Battery capacity be calculated if we connect LiMnO2 Battery Pack with 2S4P configuration. We have a couple of queries as listed below:
1. Since Lithium Manganese Dioxide (LiMnO2) batteries exhibit an extremely flat discharge curve, how does the guage maintain high accuracy when calculating the remaining State of Charge (SoC)?
2. In a 2S4P configuration, if a customer changes a partial cell (either the parallel cell or series cell), what is the recommended method for the gauge to accurately determine or re-learn the average capacity?
Looking forward to your quick response.
Thanks & Regards,
Sahil Nayak
