C/10 Charge Termination inaccuracy

Category: Hardware
Product Number: LTC4013

Hello,

I'm currently testing the LTC4013 in Li-ion charging mode with C/10 termination .

Maximum charger current/voltage are set at 2A/16.75V.

Here is the U/I charge graph:

As you can see, the charge stopped at 400mA which corresponds to C/5 (=I charge max/5=2/5).

I read on an older post about this topic (24-April 2020 "Question about LTC4013's when using Li-Ion battery.")

indicating that this inaccuracy was due to an internal noise issue within the device and that a new silicon revision was about to be released.

So I assume my board is equipped with an older version of the LTC4013, even though the component was supplied in 2025.

Could you confirm that the C/10 issue has been resolved?

How can we identify the LTC4013 version? Is there a specific marking on it?

How can we prevent from supplying old version?

Thank you in davance for your response,

Best regards, Nicolas .
