We are using the LTC2943 battery gas gauge IC to monitor a 14.8V nominal, 5.7Ah, 4S2P Li-Ion battery pack.
Our setup includes:

Sense resistor: 10 mΩ

M value: 4096 (based on IBAT/Qmax = 5.7 h)
However, when we try to communicate with the LTC2943 via I²C using an Aardvark I2C/SPI Host Adapter, we are not getting any response (no ACK or valid data from the device).
We’ve double-checked the connections and supply voltage, but still can't confirm whether the IC is functional or not.
Could you please help us with:

Steps to confirm if the LTC2943 is alive and responding on the I²C bus.

Any typical troubleshooting procedures or known issues when using the Aardvark tool with LTC2943.

Any example I²C command sequences or required I²C timings for successful communication.
