Hello,

I am using MAX17320 in my custom board design. When I connect connect a 12 volt battery pack, the DIS FET and CHG FET are OFF by default.
Question:
1. Does the factory settings send the DIS FET pin and CHG FET pin configured as OFF?
2. Should we set these pins as active to enable power flow to the system? Where on the data sheet does it say this?

3. Can you provide a guideline or a link on how to do perform this activity?

It may have something to do with the nonvolatile memory that is programmed at the factory for a 2 cell configuration with a lower voltage tolerance than you want. You would need to find the correct configuration settings and flash these to the "nonvolatile memory". Be careful as this only has 7 writes.

I recommend getting an evaluation board so you can interact with their GUI to get a better understanding of how the chip works and you can generate a config .ini file easier.
