standalone operation of LT6804-1

Category: Hardware
Product Number: LTC6804-1

Hello All ,

is it possible to use LTC6804-1 as standalone passive battery balancer IC without need of microcontrollers involvement ?

are there any IC from AD which works as standalone charge balancing IC for LifePo4 chemistry cell without the need of microcontroller ?

Thanks in advance.

No.  For standalone balancing for a specific cell chemistry you will need a microcontroller.  There are many hobby grade "BMS" boards for sale online which integrate a basic MCU and BMS IC into one self-contained board.  That sounds better for your application as you don't need the system to monitor the voltage and have fine control over when balancing is enabled.
