Hello,
I’m using the MAX17303 fuel gauge on a custom board, and I’m experiencing an issue where the IC shuts off both discharge and charge transistors for approximately 70ms when I activate a sensor that draws 300mA.
This causes the microcontroller and other components to lose power, as the battery disconnection interrupts the supply.
I’ve checked the load and ensured it’s within reasonable limits, but I can’t seem to figure out why the MAX17303 is cutting off the discharge path.
Is there a specific register setting or configuration that I should adjust to prevent this behavior? How can I keep the discharge transistor from turning off under this load?
