    Hello all,
    

    

    We are using the MAX1873TEEE+ charging IC in our design.
    

    Here I attach the design.
    

     
    

    

    So first situation like,
    

    DC 24v are in the input of the IC.
    

    When battery are connected, battery is not charging and ahead we have load switch IC so its heat.
    

    

    second situation like,
    

    we reverse the drain and source of p-mosfet Q1. than battery is charging and load switch is not heat,
    

    But issue is in this condition charging IC is getting heat.
    

    

    So I don't know why this happen. Please help me for resolve this problem.
